Kelston Lock

Kelston Lock is strangely closer to Saltford than Saltford Lock is, but it was presumably named for the nearest village on this bank of the river. When the river was made navigable, weirs were created to create deep sections with weak currents. Locks were necessary to allow boats to pass each weir.
