Dorset and Somerset Canal
A journey along the uncompleted Dorset & Somerset Canal. A journey along the remnants of the Nettlebridge branch of the Dorset & Somerset Canal, which was built between 1796 and 1803. This isolated stretch was the only part of the canal to be built, and it was never completed due to a lack of funds. Nevertheless, various structures are still visible along the line of the canal. All the photographs in this album were taken from public rights of way.
